Backtrack
Backtrack Linux is a free open source operating system created by combining two previous OSes which were designed for penetration testing(hacking). Backtrack use the Unix kernel ( I'll explain this in another post hopefully ) .
You can find the latest distributions in the home site click here.
Now you can install this OS by using a burned DVD, but I strongly recommend you to use a live CD or a USB drive.
- To create a live CD you just have to burn the iso to a DVD using a normal CD burner .
- To create a live USB drive you'll have to download following software click here to download it.You can follow the instructions there quite easily.
but I recommend this-
because the above software wasn't really working for me!!
I'll tell you what I did . First I created a live CD then I used the built in UNetbootin software but above will work for you sometimes..
