A 12-year-old boy accused of stabbing his little sister, Leila Fowler, to death in Valley Springs was described as a “shy, quiet and reserved boy” by his attorney.The boy, whose identity was not released because of his age, is charged with murder and made his initial appearance Wednesday in a Calaveras County juvenile court.
Attorney Mark Reichel said his client, who did not enter a plea, faces a second-degree murder charge along with a special allegation that he used a dangerous weapon in the stabbing of his 8-year-old sister.
